**AWESOME & FREE** STAAH Instant – ConvertDirect – Smart Pricing

Introducing Smart Pricing, a new FREE feature for STAAH ConvertDirect subscribers. This feature is designed to enhance the process of setting up deals offered on ConvertDirect. It allows you to setup deals to dynamically calculate pricing based on applicable conditions and the ability to target some specific markets.

There are 4 discount type:

Advance Purchase > Allows you to scale the discount based on number of days booking is made in advance
Mobile > Identify and target bookers using mobile device
Multi Nights > Allows you to scale the discount based on number of stay nights
Region > Allows you to set discount targeting bookings from specific country(s)

Properties subscribing to STAAH ConvertDirect (Both BAR and GRID)
Absolutely FREE

What are the discount types available?

Advance Purchase > Allows you to scale the discount based on number of days booking is made in advance
Mobile > Identify and target bookers using mobile device
Multi Nights > Allows you to scale the discount based on number of stay nights
Region > Allows you to set discount targeting bookings from specific country(s)

Some standard rules and conditions:

Enter discount as multiplier value – ie, if discount is 15%, value is 0.85
You need to link rate plan(s) to a Smart Pricing discount during setup
Smart Pricing discount does not apply to promo code rates
If more than 1 Smart Pricing discount applies to a rate searched, STAAH will apply/ consider the lowest rate, meaning the discount type with the maximum discount
By default, discount does not apply to extra guest charge. You can enable this via Promo Codes module

How to setup Smart Pricing discounts?

ConvertDirect > Smart Pricing > Click on Add Discount

Discount Type: Region

Enter discount name
Select Region
Select rate plan(s) you wish to link to this discount. Only rate plan(s) enabled to booking engine will be an option
Select Country(s) using drop down box
Enter applicable discount
Save

Discount Type: Mobile

Enter discount name
Select Mobile
Select rate plan(s) you wish to link to this discount. Only rate plan(s) enabled to booking engine will be an option
Enter applicable discount
Save

Discount Type: Multi Nights

Enter discount name
Select Multi Nights
Select rate plan(s) you wish to link to this discount. Only rate plan(s) enabled to booking engine will be an option
Enter minimum nights required for discount to apply and applicable discount
You can scale discount based on length of stay. Click on ‘+’ to add more. For example:
- 2 nights @ 0.90
- 5 nights @ 0.85
- 7 nights @ 0.80
Save

Note: You may want to consider retiring minimum night rate plans and replace with Smart Pricing.

Discount Type: Advance Purchase

Enter discount name
Select Advance Purchase
Select rate plan(s) you wish to link to this discount. Only rate plan(s) enabled to booking engine will be an option
Enter number of days in advance required for discount to apply and applicable discount
You can scale discount based on number of days in advance booking is made. Click on ‘+’ to add more. For example:
- 2 nights @ 0.90
- 5 nights @ 0.85
- 7 nights @ 0.80

Note: You may want to consider retiring advance purchase rate plans and replace with Smart Pricing
